Dear Linda Alvarez:
I would like to tell you that my wife Gail and I had
the opportunity to see your report on the "Video
Phone," from the San Diego, California based aircraft
carrier, the U.S.S. Constellation.
I thought that you really handled the story of the
accident when the jet went off the deck today really
well. I believe that you did a good job interviewing
the young man who was involved in the rescue of the Jet
Pilots who had ended up in the water . Thank you for
your participation as a reporter.
I would like you to know that the Captain of that ship
asked us as Southern Californians to pray for safety of
his crew. My wife and I have been doing just that.
Our prayers have been something like this:
"Lord Jesus, we pray that you would keep the men and
women of the U.S.S. Constellation safe."
I am thrilled and delighted that our prayers were
answered today.
Ever since the Captain made that request and left San
Diego, California several months ago, we have continued
to pray for him and his entire crew. I do not know if
you will receive this letter, I hope that you do. It
is also my hope that you pass t his letter on to the
Captain of the U.S.S. Constellation.
Just for the record I was born in Baghdad, Iraq.
May God Bless You and your family and May God Bless the
entire crew the U.S.S. Constellation and our beloved
United States of America.
