CITIZENS FOR A BETTER AMERICA ENDORSES
Patrick J. Buchanan for President
Van Nuys, California, Friday December 8, 1995
Citizens For A Better America, a national grassroots, independent political committee founded on October 15, 1992 for the purpose of electing Morality & Values Based individuals to public office from Party Committees to the Presidency. A committee not
controlled by any party, candidate, labor union or Corporation is proud to announce it’s endorsement and support of Mr. Patrick Buchanan. Both in the primary elections to be held next year and to the general election on November 5, 1996.
CBA carefully evaluated the Republican Presidential candidates appropriately chose the one year anniversary date of the signing of what it called a year ago “as a new day that will live in infamy”, the signing of the GATT/WTO Pact. It is what one
newspaper report stated as “...which will create a World Trade Organization to replace the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade as the regime that governs world commerce.” CBA was extremely disappointed that both President Clinton, Vice President Al
Gore pushed through this very damaging pact through a lame duck session of Congress with less than one week of total debate time.
CBA was extremely displeased with Senator Bob Dole who was quoted as saying on November 23, 1994 (the day before Thanksgiving Day) “I’ve agreed with the President that we’ve fixed this about as much as we can,” said Dole..., he also was quoted as
saying “I did the best I could,”... Well we felt then as we do now that Senator Dole could have just delayed the vote until the 104th Congress just elected took office and fully debated and voted for this disastrous pact. The group was also annoyed at
Senator Phil Gramm. Gramm said that he decided to support the accord, which would create a World Trade Organization to succeed the General Agreement on tariffs and Trade as the regime that governs global trade, despite what he sees as dangerous and
extraneous provisions in the ratification bill. It is also disappointed that several other Republican Presidential candidates also supported the Pact including Lamar Alexander, Senators Arlen Specter and Dick Lugar.
Mr. Buchanan was particularly outspoken, appearing in a series of radio and television ads in which he urges Congress to vote against the deal. Colaco goes on to say “We are very excited to endorse Pat Buchanan. Mr. Buchanan is the only candidate that
we are confidant has the solutions to America’s ailments, from it’s moral decline and breakdown to it’s soverignty, it’s political independence, to states rights and the economy.”
Citizens For A Better America calls on all citizens who want a better America to support and help elect Patrick Buchanan, President of the United States.
